DVM Warren Wegert set out in 1955 to provide high-quality service to the non-human patients of his community in Portland, OR. Throughout the next 30 years, he’d gain a reputation for excellence and a growing body of customers that would soon outstrip his ability to keep up. It was in 1985 that he hired on Scott Campbell to help ensure that he never had to turn a patient away. 2 years later they had to find a new location to support all the people who were trusting them with their pets. Their reputation was such that just ten years later, in 1994, Pet Retailer PetSmart formed a strategic partnership with them to provide full-service veterinary care at their store locations. Today they continue to provide support for pets and people through charitable services, and a Veterinary Student Debt Relief program to aid its over 3,000 veterinary doctors.
