In 1983 a man named John Sittner would begin publishing a genealogy newsletter that would eventually become one of the greatest repositories for human heritage ever constructed.  In 1984 Ancestry, Inc. came into existence as a humble publication and magazine, going online just 12 years later.  This organization is backed by the Mormons, otherwise known as the Church for Latter Day Saints.
