Known for creating trendy sunglasses and eyeglasses, Ray-Ban was founded in 1937. It was created by Bausch & Lomb.

Their original prototype was created for US Army pilots who complained about goggles that would fog up and the glare associated with the brightness of the sky. These sunglasses went through many redesigns until they were finally marketed to the American public as Aviators.
