About MDX
MDX is a tollway company that has grown tremendously serving almost three million residents and 1.9 million licensed drivers. The MDX Master Transportation Plan provides the basis and guidance for future investments to improve mobility and travel time for visitors and residents. Since MDX began, the company has been operating, maintaining, and enhancing the expressway system. MDX does not use state, federal, and local gasoline taxes, transportation impact fees, nor transportation-related sales.
MDX is a user-funded transportation agency and is dedicated to improving the mobility of people, goods, and the economy. The not for profit agency was created by Miami-Dade County commission in 1994 to establish local control of toll revenues in the five MDX expressways.
