About MNsure

MNsure is a health insurance marketplace for the state of Minnesota that was formed in 2013. It enables people and small businesses to purchase health insurance at federally subsidized rates. The health insurance exchanges were established as part of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. This act allows individuals to purchase health insurance in state-run marketplaces rather than through the federal government. MNsure is headquartered in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

MNsure allows users to set up an account, see if they qualify, and apply and enroll. They also offer information on Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare. This program helps with finances for those eligible for low-cost or no-cost health insurance. The Minnesota Department of Human Services manages these sponsored programs.
