Minute Clinic is a retail-based health service provided at CVS stores in the United States. CVS is the largest pharmacy healthcare provider in the country. There are some Minute Clinics in Target stores. The Minute Clinic service provides treatments for various health issues such as allergies, bladder infections, sinus infections, bronchitis, strep throat, and more. They also provide health screenings and physicals. Minute Clinic can screen for diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, smoking cessation, flu diagnoses, mononucleosis, TB testing, and pregnancy testing. Other treatments offered include cold sores, tick bites, minor burns, skin infections, shingles, sunburn, and poison ivy.
Minute Clinic was founded in 2000 initially as QuickMedx as an add-on to the pharmacy to provide adequate health care to their patients. The walk-in medical clinics inside CVS have expanded to over 30 states in the U.S and is open seven days a week, evenings and weekends, with no appointment necessary.
